On October 1st, the RBA Legal team in Vietnam was pleased to participate in the insightful workshop “Towards a Data-Driven Future: Fostering the Flow of Personal Data Between ASEAN Countries and the EU.”
The session was led by Dr. Nguyen Thai Cuong, Professor of Law at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Academic Adviser to RBA Group, and focused on the evolving legal frameworks governing cross-border data transfers between the EU and ASEAN regions.
Participants explored model contractual clauses from both jurisdictions, practical compliance strategies, and the complexities of navigating differing legal systems.
